Before Installation
- Wash and condition your bundles before installation.
- Allow the hair to air dry completely.
- Have your extensions installed by a licensed professional whenever possible.
- Avoid cutting the wefts unless necessary to minimize shedding.
Washing Your Extensions
We recommend washing your extensions every 2–3 weeks, or more frequently if you use a lot of styling products.
How to Wash
1. Gently detangle the hair from the ends upward.
2. Wet the hair with lukewarm water.
3. Cleanse using a sulfate-free shampoo.
4. Follow with a moisturizing conditioner.
5. Rinse thoroughly.
6. Allow the hair to air dry whenever possible.
Avoid scrubbing or bunching the hair together while washing, as this can cause tangling. Raw Vietnamese hair is unprocessed. Therefore not having the coating virgin hair has that keeps the hair silky when washing. Be gentle when washing.
Daily Care
- Brush your extensions gently each morning and night from bottom to top.
- Use a lightweight serum or hair oil on the mid-lengths and ends as needed.
- Avoid heavy oils and excessive product buildup.
- Use a heat protectant before any hot tools.
- Limit excessive heat to maintain the integrity of the hair.
Sleeping With Your Hair
Before bed:
- Detangle the hair.
- Braid or loosely wrap it.
- Sleep with a satin bonnet, satin scarf, or a hair net.
This helps reduce tangling, frizz, and unnecessary friction.
Swimming & Exercise
Before swimming:
- Wet the hair with clean water.
- Apply a small amount of conditioner for added protection.
After swimming:
- Rinse immediately to remove chlorine or saltwater.
- Wash and condition the hair as soon as possible.
For workouts, tie your hair into a loose ponytail or braid to prevent matting.
Coloring Your Extensions
Our Raw Vietnamese Hair can be professionally colored or bleached.
We strongly recommend using a licensed colorist. Improper chemical processing may shorten the lifespan of your extensions.
Heat Styling
Our extensions can be curled, straightened, and styled with hot tools.
For best results:
- Always apply a heat protectant.
- Keep styling temperatures below 450°F (204°C) when possible.
- Avoid excessive daily heat styling.

Storage
When not in use:
- Wash and condition the hair.
- Allow it to dry completely. Never store hair tangled or damp.
- Store in BJMExtensions bag.
- Keep away from moisture and direct sunlight.
